Please Respond is Tyler Hobbs' generative-art take on the Surrealists' exquisite corpse. In the spring of 2026 he passed a single algorithm down a chain of ten artists: each received the previous artist's code and finished image, took about two weeks, and answered with a new work, reusing as much or as little of the inherited code as they liked. Hobbs opened the chain with a composition built "tight, clean, and extensible" so the others would have something to take apart; nine artists later, Zancan closed it by digging the three-dimensional figure back out of Aleksandra Jovanić's abstraction. The ten works were released one per day, May 6–15, 2026, on Shape, and this set of open-edition archival pigment prints — each stamped on the reverse with the artists' marks — is the chain in physical form: ten answers to the same prompt, holdable in two hands.
