Juan Pedro Vallejo

Argentinian

Juan Pedro Vallejo is an Argentinian artist in La Plata whose father taught him to program as a child, in Flash and ActionScript. Trained in audiovisual arts at the National University of La Plata, he builds real-time generative systems in openFrameworks that put him in a distinctly Latin American lineage — Julio Le Parc, Carlos Cruz-Diez, the kinetic and Op traditions — filtered through Bauhaus color theory. Interferences (Art Blocks, 2022) worked those ideas into 256 editions, and Subtraction Reconfiguration (Bright Moments Buenos Aires, 2023) brought them into paper and ink with industrial designer Patricia Lascano. For Please Respond (2026), the sixth link, he perturbed Kjetil Golid's grid by keeping only where its modules intersect, in black and white.
