Description
One of the surrealist serigraphs Dallas John (b. 1945) editioned in 1979 at the height of his 'trucker' series, its Portuguese title translates as 'Dwelling in the Sky.' Dealer records document the print as a signed and numbered serigraph in which a truck is carried into the sky—the series' signature collision of highway realism and dream logic. A former urban planner with degrees in geography and regional planning, John pulled his editions by hand through layered silkscreens, and the prints' precision of color and perspective reflects that mapmaker's training.
