Description
Javier Iglesias Algora (b. Madrid, 1977), who works as Gnosick, has spread experimental art and graphic culture since founding Belio Magazine in 1999, building a drawing practice steeped in sacred geometry, psychonautics, mysticism, and ancestral cultures. He describes the creation of each work as "a meditative state of peace and equilibrium," with intuition rather than preparatory sketching dictating every line. Reverie 13, executed in silver ink in 2017, belongs to the period of his solo exhibition Ataraxia Geométrica at Madrid's Swinton Gallery, when he characterized his geometric compositions as void cartographies, stellar maps, systems, and circuits.
