Description
A drawing from Harold Cohen's Amsterdam Suite, the series associated with his 1977 solo exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, where AARON's output device — a small drawing 'turtle' robot — traced the program's compositions across paper before visitors. At that stage AARON produced only monochrome line drawings of scattered, playful abstract forms; Cohen hand-colored some sheets afterward, often signing and dating them years later, which accounts for varying dates on works from the suite. Examples from the series are held by the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Check the sheet for the edition inscription: if numbered it is a lithograph and should be recatalogued; if not, the Amsterdam Suite attribution needs provenance.
