Description
Nick Hardeman’s Alfredo (2016) is a unique generative drawing that merges algorithmic design with traditional craftsmanship. Created using a custom squid-generation program written in OpenFrameworks, the composition was first drawn by an HP7475 pen plotter before being finished by hand with watercolor. Like every work in Hardeman’s Squids series, Alfredo is randomly generated, ensuring that no two pieces are alike. The result is a vibrant fusion of computational precision and expressive hand-painted detail, celebrating the creative dialogue between code, machine, and artist.
