(Hayama Kōmei Archive), item 9979 in the 音楽(演奏会) category, registered 2022-10-08: https://d-commons.net/hayama/?c=&p=9979. Published by the 端山貢明アーカイブプロジェクト (Hayama Kōmei Archive Project), directed by 前川道博 (Michihiro Maekawa) of Nagano University, on the D-Commons platform, and licensed CC BY (表示). The source documents come from the 端山文庫, the papers kept in Hayama's laboratory at Tohoku University of Art and Design, digitised by the project with the agreement of his family; his autograph scores were given to the University History Archives of the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2026. Source: Japanese Society for Contemporary Music (日本現代音楽協会), with Agency for Cultural Affairs support; the fourth evening at the Dai-ichi Seimei Hall, Tokyo. ¥1,800 per evening. Dated: Friday 17 February 1978, 7:00 p.m. (the fourth of five evenings, 3–24 February 1978). The archive publishes this item as 1 separate page scan rather than as a PDF; the download here was assembled from those scans in page order, each taken at the higher of the two resolutions the archive serves. A single folded flyer for the whole of 現代の音楽展'78 / Exhibition of Contemporary Music '78, five evenings mounted by the Japanese Society for Contemporary Music with Agency for Cultural Affairs support. Hayama's Systemata I (1977) closed the fourth evening at the Dai-ichi Seimei Hall on 17 February and is marked 初演, a premiere; the performers are given as ARK, the ensemble that played four of that evening's six items. The evening was produced by Kai Sessō, whose own 5人の奏者のための音楽'77 opened it, and also contained a Japanese premiere of Wolfgang von Schweinitz's Sonate für Violine solo (Horie Satoru), Matsudaira Yoritsune's Coding for piano and percussion, Satō Sōmei's 結霊(むすび)の時 and an untitled new piece by Yuasa Jōji — all of them 1977 or 1978 premieres. The other four evenings are set out on the same sheet: 3 February at Iino Hall, produced by Miyoshi Akira, with Fukushi Norio, Morigaki Keiichi, Mōri Kurōdo, Niimi Tokuhide and Matsumoto Hinoharu; 10 February at Hibiya Public Hall, with the Japan Philharmonic under Yamada Kazuo playing Kijima Kiyohiko, Kitazume Michio, Toyama Mihoko and Noda Teruyuki; 14 February, produced by Takata Saburō, with Sugiura Masayoshi, Takahara Hirofumi, Satō Toshinao, Bekku Sadao and Takata; and 24 February, a piano evening produced by Sukegawa Toshiya, ending with Boulez's first sonata played by Kitagawa Akiko. Tickets were ¥1,800 a night. The flyer is the only record here of Systemata I, Hayama's last documented concert work before 《曲舞》. (Kai Sessō, producer of the fourth evening), Wolfgang von Schweinitz, (Miyoshi Akira, producer of the first evening), 山田一雄 (Yamada Kazuo, conductor), 高田三郎 (Takata Saburō, producer of the third evening), (Sukegawa Toshiya, producer of the fifth evening), (Pierre Boulez). Noted: The archive's description of this evening omits the performers; the flyer gives ARK for all four of the works so marked, including Hayama's, but does not name the ensemble's members. The flyer gives no duration, instrumentation or movement titles for Systemata I, and no indication whether further Systemata followed. Readings for several of the composers' names on the sheet are not printed and are romanised here from the characters.
