The Japan Chopin Society's bulletin no. 81, a single sheet dated 10 July 1980 whose front panel carries a facsimile of Chopin's signature in a decorative border. It announces the society's 81st meeting, the seventh in its series 日本のピアノ曲 ('Japanese piano music'), that same evening at the Asahi Seimei Hall: Niimura Kazuko and Moriyama Kazuko played Hayama's ピアノ・ソナタ and Miyoshi Akira's Piano Sonata before the break, then Maruta Shōzō's 五つのバガテル (Five Bagatelles) and Hara Hiroshi's Piano Sonata No. 1. The sonata is twenty years old by this date and this is its fourth documented performance. The sheet also announces the 82nd meeting, the eighth in the same series, for 17 September 1980 at the Asahi Seimei Hall, with Ōtani Mamiko and Aoyagi Izumiko playing Hirayoshi Takekuni's Monodrama, Satō Toshinao's ピアノ淡彩画帖, Kanemitsu Iwao's Piano Sonata No. 2 and Moroi Makoto's 以呂波讃八題; seats were ¥2,000 unreserved, ¥1,000 for members of the society's friends association. A Kawai advertisement showing the inside of a grand piano fills the remainder. The sheet does not say which of the two pianists played which work.
