Description
Georg Nees' Labyrinthe 10 – Draussen (14 April 1986) is a laser print of a faceted block raised on a stem of converging lines, seen from below and tilted in steep perspective. The front face holds a maze of rounded, interlocking channels, the labyrinth of the series title. Bands of interlaced ornament run along the top and sides, much like the decorative borders in his Construct/Decor drawings from the same year. "Draussen" means "outside," as if this were the maze seen from outside. The machine-lettered title strip along the bottom gives the date, a time to the second (12:36:29), and Nees' name.
