Description
A radiant baby above a barking dog — plate-for-plate a page from the 1982 Tony Shafrazi Gallery exhibition catalogue, offset-printed by Fleetwood Press in an unsigned run of roughly two thousand. The sheet is a genuine and legitimately collectible piece of Haring ephemera. The pink marker "K. Haring" up the left margin is another matter: thin and shaky where authentic Haring signatures are bold, and matching the most common pattern of after-market signatures added to disbound catalogue pages. No body authenticates Harings anymore (the Foundation's committee closed in 2012), so this record states what can be known: real page, dubious signature.
