Description
The Flatiron Building, typed. On his first visit to New York in April 2024, Cook photographed the building from the Empire State Building's 86th-floor observatory, then drew it entirely on a typewriter — black ink with yellow reserved for the taxis, hidden typewritten facts worked into the architecture, and the ad boards reworked to mark his ten-year milestone. A signed and numbered giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching paper; the recorded edition number (97/100) wants checking against the COA, since current runs are editions of 90, 60, and 25 by size. I love the way he hides messages and thoughts in the work he composes with a typewriter.
