Generated at the visitor kiosk — the QQL Generation Station — at "Infinite Images: The Art of the Algorithm" at the Toledo Museum of Art, on my visit of Friday, July 11, 2025. QQL is Tyler Hobbs and Dandelion Wist's co-creative algorithm: the visitor steers the parameters, the algorithm draws, and each output is a unique seed — the QQL team's follow-up email calls every participant "a co-creator within QQL." This one: banded spirals of blue and gold rings sweeping across a midnight ground, ember-orange coils burning along the lower edge. A digital piece that is not an NFT — a rarity in this collection, which makes it a nice marker of where generative art meets the museum-going public: art you make by visiting.
