Description
A field of horizontal blue bars swells at the center and pinches toward the corners — an op-art cushion that seems to breathe as you move past it. Hoff drew it in 2017 (the sheet is signed 1/1 A17) with a Pilot Parallel calligraphy pen and Lamy Turquoise fountain ink on Fabriano Bristol — "the only way I have been able to create these particular layering and gradient effects," he says of that combination — and sold it uncut, A3, through his shop as ink003. His durability warning travels with it: fountain ink is not archival, so it lives behind UV glass.
