Description
RAISED BY THE INTERNET: a field of horizontal lines that swell and distort until the phrase surfaces like a pressure ridge — from the text-based plotter series Beck began in late 2023, machine-drawn in oil on nettle canvas at 110 × 140 cm. The grid is programmed; the distortion is the message. When I first saw it I resonated instantly: I am self-taught mostly via the internet, and the relationships that sprang from it shaped my life.
