Description
Antigoon is the working name of an Eindhoven-based creative developer whose Graphic Machinery practice channels a teenage grounding in graffiti into work made with self-built pen plotters, charcoal-wielding drawing machines, computerized fire extinguishers, and spray-can robots. He embraces the blots, flares, and motor vibrations of his machines as collaborators, bringing what one curator described as an almost industrial approach to the letterform. Ligature #16 belongs to his numbered Ligature series of machine-drawn letterform works; another work from the series, Ligature #29, is held in the collection of STRAAT Museum, Amsterdam.
