Description
1020 Tulips (2020): a two-metre grid of a thousand and twenty tulip photographs on black squares — the visual language of Ridler's Myriad dataset, in which every flower was photographed and hand-labelled by the artist so the labour inside machine learning could be seen. Ink on paper, 93.4 × 200 cm, edition 2 of 6 plus one artist's proof, signed and dated; acquired from DAM Projects, Berlin, in February 2021.
