Computer Technique Group

Japanese collective founded in Tokyo in 1966 by systems engineers, designers, and architects to explore the computer's artistic potential. Their Running Cola is Africa, Deformation of Sharaku, and the Automatic Painting Machine No. 1 appeared in Cybernetic Serendipity (ICA, 1968) and in Jasia Reichardt's The Computer in Art (1971). The group dissolved itself on 1 October 1969.
