Description
An imaginary mountainside in thousands of fine contour lines: "chunks of imaginary topographies made by an algorithm and drawn by a robot. Glitches and imperfections are part of the work." Lemercier drew the 60 × 84 cm possible landscapes live during "Paisajes de luz," his 2021 solo show at Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid, releasing them on hic et nunc one at a time — each drawing revealed only after the previous one sold — and shipping the sheets once the show closed. This is the fourteenth; its companion token holds the drawing's vector source file, so it could be re-plotted line for line if the sheet were ever lost. Hand signed by the artist.
