The tree line across the railroad tracks below the Center for Machine Arts in Peekskill, green mounded over the long horizontals of the rails. Painted during Andee's July 2023 residency, the machine set up at the workshop and the subject right outside. "My machine's determination to press on and work is useful to me," he told the Peekskill Herald that month — "I do not want to be bogged down by my own habits and impatience."
