Description
Fine black lines stack into swells and troughs — a square of open water drawn one contour at a time, which is why this one has always been "the ocean drawing" around here. It is one of Lemercier's hundred possible landscapes from the spring of 2021, an experiment in proving digital art could live on a low-energy blockchain: each 30 × 30 cm drawing was unique, plotted only once it had a collector, and the hic et nunc token traveled with the physical sheet as its certificate. Glitches and imperfections are part of the work. Hand signed by the artist.
