Description
One of five RGB plotter drawings Casey Reas made for AESTHETICA — 50 Years of Computer Generated Art at DAM Gallery, Berlin (2015), the exhibition marking fifty years since Max Bense's Aesthetica and the first exhibitions of Georg Nees's algorithmic plotter drawings. The RGB drawings extend Reas's Still Life series, which takes Platonic solids apart into pixels and translates each pixel's values into lines of varying position and color; each sheet is plotted in archival inks on paper, with the line angles derived from the numeric values of the RGB channels.
