Windell Oskay

Windell H. Oskay is an American physicist, engineer, and co-founder (with Lenore Edman) of Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories, the Silicon Valley company behind the AxiDraw pen plotter and other art robots such as the EggBot and WaterColorBot. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas at Austin and previously worked as a research physicist in the Time and Frequency Division of NIST. Following Bantam Tools' acquisition of Evil Mad Scientist announced in January 2024, he became CTO of Bantam Tools, where he led development of the NextDraw plotter line; he is also active as a pen-plotter artist.
