Pablo Azócar

Chilean

Pablo Azócar is a Santiago-based artist who works under the name Pavlovpulus, making pen-plotter drawings from generative systems he writes himself. Trained as an engineer in renewable natural resources at the Universidad de Chile, he spent years as a sports and nature photographer in New Zealand and Chile before turning to art, working as an artist full-time since 2022. His code sets the rules of each drawing (structure, form, color and material), and the machine draws every line in ink on paper; in his words, the work is “not made by hand, and it’s not made by AI.” His series include LANDXCAPES, TRIP0, K.0.L.L. and FOLD3D.
