Maughan S. Mason
1931–2003
Maughan S. Mason made computer-generated graphics with an analogue computer driving an XY plotter: he would visualize the desired pattern, then conceive the circuit arrangement that would produce the effect, executing the drawings in black or coloured inks. His work was shown at the Salt Lake Art Center, Salt Lake City, before appearing in Cybernetic Serendipity (ICA, London, 1968).
