LOVID
LoVid is Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus, the New York duo who have been collaborating since 2001 across performances, handmade technologies, textiles, experimental video, and generative art — most famously through hand-built video synthesizers like the Sync Armonica, assembled during their 2005 Eyebeam residency. Their signals-made-visible practice has run from Anthology Film Archives and the Museum of the Moving Image to Art Blocks (Tide Predictor, Curated; Augury, Presents), with representation at RYAN LEE Gallery in New York — analog electricity and blockchain code treated as the same material: systems you can feel. I see Tali and Kyle at events all over the world, wherever I go — and I hope to acquire something from their hugging series someday.
