Lloyd Sumner
Lloyd Sumner began experimenting with computer graphics in the early 1960s at the University of Virginia, programming a Burroughs B5500 in extended ALGOL and drawing with a CalComp 565 plotter. He founded Computer Creations in Charlottesville — one of the first businesses selling computer graphics, plots in red, blue, green, brown and black given romantic titles. His Friendly Flowers of Time and Space was shown in Cybernetic Serendipity (ICA, London, 1968).
