Lenore Edman

Lenore Edman co-founded Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories with Windell Oskay in 2006, after their kitchen table broke and they replaced it with an interactive LED dining table. What began as projects shown at Maker Faire became the company behind the EggBot and the AxiDraw family of pen plotters — the compact, CNC-controlled drawing machines that a large part of the contemporary plotter scene runs on, and which put a working plotter within reach of artists who would never have found a vintage HP. Bantam Tools acquired Evil Mad Scientist in January 2024, and Edman and Oskay moved to Peekskill, New York.
