Laurie Anderson

Laurie Anderson (b. 1947) is the American avant-garde's great storyteller-technologist: inventor of the tape-bow violin (1977), UK #2 with "O Superman" (1981), NASA's first artist in residence (2003). Songs From the Bardo (2019, with Tenzin Choegyal and Jesse Paris Smith), a song-cycle after the Tibetan Book of the Dead, topped Billboard's New Age chart and earned a Grammy nomination.
