Lauren Ricci (b. 2001) is a Hudson Valley artist who explores materiality through painting, punch-needling, and printmaking, with themes of queerness and the moon running all the way through — her own bio counts by twos: shoes, rectangles, white t-shirts. She took her BFA in painting and art history at MICA (2023), did a Vermont Studio Center residency in 2024, and heads to the MI-LAB mokuhanga residency in Echizen, Japan in 2026; her yarn works and prints sell directly from her studio and at the KinoSaito Annual in Verplanck, where both of the works here were found. I bought both of these at the Kino Saito yearly benefit sale.
