Kristoffer Nordgren plots paint. Working as @axiplot from Västerås, Sweden — "at the intersection of materiality and algorithm, I explore the balance between art and automation," his bio says — he builds his own machines, including a syringe-pump paint-deposition rig, and reproduces photographs as fields of short machine-laid paint strokes, color-quantized into clusters that read like corduroy up close and like light from across the room. He keeps a low profile: a hundred-odd Instagram posts, no real website, and paintings that travel by DM — which is exactly how these two arrived in November 2024.
