Erik Swahn
Erik Swahn is a Swedish artist and architect based in Stockholm whose work sits at the intersection of architecture, art, and computation. Born in 1977, Swahn began with physical media including acrylic, ink, and charcoal before moving into creative coding and procedural image-making. His practice has been shown through platforms and galleries including Verse, fxhash, and SOLOS, with series such as Punktwelt, Funktor, Autoscope, and Soma. Swahn’s generative work explores color, pigment blending, overlapping forms, and dense pointillist textures, often using code to create images that feel simultaneously systematic and tactile. Alongside his art practice, he teaches at the KTH School of Architecture in Stockholm, bringing together architectural thinking, computation, and visual experimentation in a body of work that feels both analytical and painterly.
