Eliane Radigue
French · 1932–2026
Éliane Radigue (1932–2026) studied under Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry from 1955 and assisted Henry at Studio Apsome from 1967, where she made the tape-feedback and desynchronized-loop works on these LPs — Jouet électronique (1967), Elemental I (1968), Opus 17 (1970) — before the ARP 2500 became her instrument for twenty-five years, starting with Adnos I in 1974. Slow, vast, meditative electronic music; the LPs here are archival editions of the pre-ARP work. She died in Paris in February 2026.
