David Behrman

David Behrman (b. 1937, Salzburg) co-founded the Sonic Arts Union with Robert Ashley, Alvin Lucier, and Gordon Mumma, and produced Columbia's Music of Our Time series — the records that carried In C and its cohort to the public. A pioneer of interactive computer music (On the Other Ocean, 1978, paired live players with a pitch-sensing microcomputer), his unpublished early-microcomputer works are collected on the Alga Marghen LP here.
