Claudia Keller
Claudia Keller (born 1942, Dessau, Germany) is a German pioneer of computer-assisted graphic art whose work combined programmed precision with the visual language of landscape, light, horizon, and optical perception. She lives and works in Düsseldorf. She studied at the **Kölner Werkschulen from 1960 to 1964** and subsequently studied graphic design and painting at the **State Art Academy Düsseldorf from 1964 to 1967**, under Professor Josef Faßbender. In 1966, she received an **Ernst Poensgen Foundation scholarship**. ([1stDibs][1]) Keller became known for her **precise, highly abstracted representations of landscape, light, and reflections**, often using a restrained color palette. Her work occupies an interesting position between traditional landscape imagery, concrete abstraction, and experimental printmaking. Her *Horizonte* (“Horizons”) portfolio, produced for the *Kunst und Computer* (“Art and Computer”) edition, used computers to realize artistic concepts and specifications through highly precise graphic processes. Her work from this period includes colorful serigraphs and other computer-generated or computer-assisted prints. Keller's work has been exhibited at institutions and exhibitions including the **Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus in Munich, Kunstverein Heidelberg, Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn, the Große Düsseldorfer Kunstausstellung, Art Basel**, and *International Graphics* in Valletta.
