Bre Pettis is an artist, entrepreneur, and avid computer art collector. He has been at the forefront of the maker movement for over a decade. With a passion for using technology to empower creativity, he co-founded MakerBot Industries, the company that brought 3D printing to the masses, serving as its CEO from 2009 to 2014. Under Pettis' leadership, MakerBot became a global leader in desktop 3D printing and revolutionized the way people create and manufacture things. The company's success was recognized with numerous awards, including Popular Mechanics' "Overall Winner" in the 2012 Breakthrough Awards and Fast Company's "Most Innovative Company" in the world for 2012. Today, Pettis is the CEO and co-founder of Bantam Tools, a company that creates exceptional computer controlled machines with a current focus on drawing, painting, and handwriting machines. With Bantam Tools, Pettis is continuing his mission to empower makers and creatives with powerful and accessible tools.
