Andrew Strauss is an award-winning art director, graphic designer, and illustrator turned generative artist, working from Ngunnawal Country in Canberra after stints in Sydney, Melbourne, Los Angeles, and Santiago. His plots come from self-coded software driving pen plotters — rOtring Isograph pens and ink on Fabriano Aquarelle 200 gsm paper, A2, signed and numbered — in series that often started life as Tezos tokens (Utopias of the Damned, 2022) before coming back to paper. Books, magazines, fashion labels, music production, tattoos: his design practice has touched all of them, and the plotting carries that graphic discipline with it.
