Portrait of Amy Goodchild

Amy Goodchild

UK

Amy Goodchild is a multidisciplinary artist from London whose work uses code and technology to explore randomness, nonsense, and meaning. With a BA in Photography and a MArch in Design for Performance and Interaction, she brings together visual art, creative coding, and audience-centered design to create generative works that are playful, structured, and emotionally accessible. Working primarily with JavaScript and other digital tools, Goodchild creates algorithmic artworks that investigate the tension between system and surprise: rules, repetition, chance, pattern, and human interpretation. Her practice reflects a deep interest in making technology feel expressive and generous, producing works that invite viewers to find meaning inside complexity, abstraction, and delightful visual nonsense.
