Ali Irtem

Ali Irtem (born Salonica, 1909) studied technical physics in Berlin and became known as the 'father of the Turkish cyberneticians.' A member of the Association Internationale de Cybernétique and the Société Internationale de Biologie Mathématique, his papers include 'Democracy evaluated cybernetically' (1963) and 'How to change the laws of nature cybernetically or programming miracles' (1967). He worked in Istanbul as a management consultant. A contributor to Jasia Reichardt's Cybernetics, Art and Ideas (1971).
